Yuanyang rice terraces

My love for rice terraces lead me to Yuanyang, in Yunnan.
Over the past 1,300 years, the Hani people who live in villages situated between the mountaintop forests and the terraces, have developed a complex system of channels to bring water from the forested mountaintops to the terraces.

In december, sky and clouds reflect on the mirror like surface of the paddy terraces.
